INKED – DAIWA EMERALDAS PEAK

I shoot a lot of underwater lures images for various companies but have only recently had a some brief spare time to experiment with Acrylic paints injected into the glass tank to simulate an Egi jig being “inked” plus combine it with bubbles.  A few test shots without the paint/bubbles to get the correct exposure and then illuminate the jig with three lights for perfect exposure plus one extra with a snoot to create the “sun” highlight. With images like this, you really only get one shot at it as the paint quickly spreads throughout the water, if you don’t get it then the tank has to be emptied and cleaned for the next shot. The soft glow is created by using a Nisi Filter Black Mist  1/4 Filter
