The original Tilsan Bass dates back to the mid 1990’s and was originally a balsa hand made lure by Australian lure maker Til Martinelo. The original was one of mine and colleagues all time favorite lures for estuary perch, golden perch and bass. Many years ago, Tislan Lures was acquired by Halco Tackle in Perth WA and continued balsa production up until recently. I was pretty excited to be able to shoot the new range at the end of 2021 for the 2022 spring release of the new plastic range for Halco. Nothings changed other than the quality of an already superb lure just got better, digging out some originals from my tackle boxes ensured me that the action was exactly the same but the casting qualities and durability is so much better.
