FISH & CHIPS – DUO SPEARHEAD RYUKI D3

The classic fish and chips originates from England during the 1800’s. The first fish and chip shop in England is believed to have opened in Mossely, near Oldham, Lancashire, around 1863. Since then it has become a national dish of the UK and spread throughout the globe becoming a culinary favorite.
How did this picture come about, well this little toy chip packet appeared one day in a some lolly bags that we purchased for a kids fun day at home. This was such a iconic little packet design that I immediately thought of a lure image representing “fish and chips”. The chips in the image are real chips made and are only about 3 cm’s long. Add a classic grey/white tile sheet that is so common in many takeaway stores and my favourite trout lures the Duo Spearhead Ryuki and we have a fish and chips DUO style.
Lighting is a simple setup, two Good AD300 Pro’s with ADS6W modifiers shot through two large 200 x 150 cm diffuser panels to create bright yet soft even light. Key light at 1/4 power and the fill light at 1/16th power, plus a small gobo to bounce a bit more light on the “fries” logo.
