Frosty Start To The Day – NSW Trout Opening This Weekend

Trout opening in NSW is just about upon us. The Snowy Mountains are living up to their name with some great snowfalls in the past few days. The highland streams could see some spectacular scenery and catching a trout will just be a bonus for those adventurous to hike into these streams.

The workhorse of professional lenses, known as a standard zoom or a 24-70mm F2.8, is one of those lenses that you need in your kit and they are incredibly versatile. I’ve owned so many versions of them over the past decades, there’s always been a bit of a love/hate relationship as they are great at one end of the focal range and not the other, but the new Z version sets the standard. Regarded now as the best 24-70mm ever produced, it’s a great lens for literally every situation from landscape to sport to reportage. Even though I love primes, the image quality from this lens is simply stunning.
