HALCO MAX SERIES CORAL TROUT

HALCO MAX SERIES CORAL TROUT

HALCO MAX SERIES CORAL TROUT

Getting exposure and focus perfect every time is always my main goal, not only does it produce the highest quality images, but it saves an enormous amount of time.

Before even taking the images all the lures are disassembled, wires, rings, hooks etc are cleaned and polished to remove any paint and then reassembled with all hooks and rings at the same angle. Then the lure is cleaned and polished ready to be shot. It may seem like a long process but its far better to do it before the image as time on a computer cleaning up takes longer.

Taking images of the same lure colour but different sizes (Halco Max varies from 130mm to 220mm) can be a little challenging, but every step needs to be the same ie exposure, white balance, lighting etc. Exposure is calculated with a Sekonic L508 Light meter, compensated for the tilt/shift and White Balance set by a XRite Colour Checker.

Then in post-production every process for correction needs to exactly the same. One shot for each lure, all corrections in post sync’d, clean-up any spots, scratches or dust in ACR, then clip pathed in CS Photoshop and saved as PNG files , ready for the client to use in catalogues, advertisements and website uploading.
